I once read a Reddit post where the husband stated that he and his wife have not had sex in 8 months. During their counseling session, she used her Catholic upbringing as the "reason" behind this.

One fun sex tip: Create a Sex Calendar. Why do we do this? It keeps this part of our life a priority and being intimate with your spouse should not be something you check the box. Remember it's an act of service and connection.

Circa 2019 wifey and I started documenting the days we had sex on a whiteboard we use as the family calendar. If I got my facts straight she told one of her friends at work our idea and her friend bought us a small calendar. First, we drew a small teddy bear when we had foreplay and nothing else. Then a heart when we did have intercourse. The years went by and the calendar evolved.

Every year we purchase a Big Grid Calendars from TF Publishing and buy stickers from Amazon.

The stickers represent events from foreplay only, intercourse, or oral sex.

Here is the goal: Strive to have something on that calendar at least 8 times a month.

Conclusion

I cannot imagine being married and not having sex for 8 months. The only regret I have is I don't get more of it. To my married brother and sisters: Keep sex/intimacy a priority in your relationship. If something is preventing you in your relationship from experiencing the euphoria and connection that sex can produce. Dammit, fix it. You have ONE life and should not be lived in a marriage that acts more like a corporation than two beings living as one flesh. Let me know in the comments how I can help.
